MACOG has developed the draft State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2026-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for public review and comment from March 5, 2025, to April 4, 2025.

About the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)

The TIP includes a 5-year program of federally funded road, transit, bicycle, and pedestrian projects for Elkhart, Kosciusko, Marshall, and St. Joseph Counties in Indiana. The draft TIP includes over $181M in funding for local transportation projects in MACOG’s region and tracks projects from design to construction. The MACOG TIP fulfills requirements for the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) public involvement process. The TIP public participation process is used to satisfy the South Bend and Elkhart-Goshen Urbanized Area FTA Section 5307 Program of Projects (POP) requirements.

About the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS)

As an Economic Development District, MACOG is responsible for developing the CEDS. This plan directs regional economic development for the next five years. It identifies the region's assets and challenges, establishes a vision and goals, and outlines objectives to achieve these regional goals.

Ways to Review and Participate

Relevant documents for both plans will be available at area public libraries, MACOG’s office, and on MACOG’s website (engage.macog.com). A review and comment period begins on March 5, 2025, and extends until April 4, 2025. Requests for

As part of the public participation process, you are invited to join two Open Houses. The first will take place on March 24, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM in the City of Elkhart.
