INDOT Awards More than $15 Million to MACOG Region through Community Crossings Matching Grants
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) Community Crossings Matching Grant (CCMG) provides funding to local public agencies for road and bridge preservation projects, as well as specific ADA ramp and sidewalk work.

AmeriCorps Featured Members - Christian Zeser
Christian Zeser was a member of MACOG’s second AmeriCorps cohort serving with MACOG at the Elkhart Environmental Center. Tasks included leading student groups on tours, large-scale invasive species removal, assistance in planning Environmental Center events, and leading events such as a birding walk.
MACOG, St. Joseph County Awarded Federal Planning Grant to Study Vehicle/Rail Safety Improvements
The U.S. Department of Transportation announced that the Michiana Area Council of Governments (MACOG), partnering with St. Joseph County will receive $1 million from the Railroad Crossing Elimination Program for a rail crossing study at Ash Road and other nearby grade-crossings (Apple, Beech, and Cottage Grove) along the Norfolk Southern Railway.
